AJP gave a talk during Primary today. He was asked to talk about families. He chose to use “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” as his source. It was really great and he did it in English and Portuguese. Below is the text of what he said:
In “The Family: A Proclamation to the World”, the First Presidency and Council of the Twelve Apostles said that: “Successful families are established and maintained [through] …wholesome recreational activities.” Wholesome recreational activities are when you do fun things that are good for you. In my family we like to watch Star Wars, swim, decorate our apartment for holidays and play sports together.
A few weeks ago my family went to the beach. We swam, collected sea shells and played in the sand. When we were there, I felt awesome because it was so fun.
I know that doing fun things as a family helps us love each other more. I am happy we have prophets and apostles who guide us.
