Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! JTP’s parents came on the 24th to spend a few weeks with us. Needless to say, the kids were over the moon happy when they saw their grandparents. We had tried to keep it a secret from them. Even with all of the small clues that JTP and I let slip, kids were still reasonably surprised.

We were lucky this year to feel loved and appreciated by so many friends during the Christmas season. I would like to send out a quick thank you to the many families that hosted us in their homes or brought by a special treat for us. We appreciate your friendships and love. Thank you!!

AJP prompted us to do one of the most special activities we had this season. He wanted to put on a nativity play so we invited a few families from our congregation with children AJP and BLP’s ages over to help us out. We read Luke 2 in English and Portuguese as the children acted out the play. It was really moving and helped us all remember exactly why we celebrate at this time of year.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas full of love and happiness.
