We made the decision to go to Boston for part of Home Leave. After cashing in a bunch of frequent flyer miles we were off. It was a great time to re-connect with friends and a city that we love. We spent the first few days at JTP’s aunt and uncle’s home. They were wonderful hosts and we had a great time with them. We went straight from the airport to TSP’s old work in Cambridge. We spent time with the B family, the other B family, the E-I family, a law school friend of JTP, JTP’s grandmother (98 years old!), the parents of one of JTP’s childhood friend and S & R, friends that still live in our building. We also went to our old congregation where we saw more friends. Unfortunately, we did not get to see all of our friends since we had limited amount of time in Boston.
The last few days JTP’s cousin graciously gave up her beautiful apartment at the base of Beacon Hill for us to use. One of the highlights of the trip was a tour of Fenway Park. We got an up-close look at the House that Papi Built. Another highlight was going candle pin bowling. We also had a great lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Jasper White’s Summer Shack. Mostly, it was just great to be back in "The Hub". We had so many wonderful experiences there and can say without hesitation that it is where we really call home.
Below are pictures of AJP and BLP at Fenway Park, AJP candle pin bowling and AJP and BLP at the old apartment. We took many more pictures but they are mostly of our friends.

Sounds like you had a fun visit to Boston. Are you already at Post? Hoping your family is happy, healthy, and adjusting to a new life! Miss you all :)
Hey did you go candle pin bowling at Lanes and Games? We don't live too far from there, we should have met up with you for a game. Maybe next time. Good luck with the move.
