Happy Thanksgiving - late

We sent out our annual Thanksgiving letter this year. I am a little slow getting on the blog. . .

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite American holidays. It is a great opportunity in our busy lives to stop and focus on what we have rather than what we don’t. This past week we sat down and talked about all the things we have to be thankful for this year. As in years past, we have decided to share them with all of you, our family and friends. This year we have added three things that that our whole family is grateful for.

BLP

1. Family. I am thankful that I have a family that loves me.

2. Food. I am thankful that we have good food to eat.

3. School. I like that I can learn at school and that I can read so much.

AJP

1. Books. I love to read them and get entertained.

2. Sports. They are fun and you can have fun doing them.

3. Family. They help me and love me.

TSP

1. School. It has been such a great experience to go back to school. I don’t think I am as smart as I once was but I have more experience and that has helped me do the work required to be successful.

2. Students. I really love the students I teach. I have been lucky to learn about Korean, Ecuadorean, Thai and Iranian cultures. I feel lucky they share part of themselves with me.

3. Family. Every member of my family, from Josiah and the kids to my family and my in-laws, have all been very supportive of me this fall. I am glad to know that these relationships will carry on after we die.

JTP

1. A great job. In this economy we should never take for granted a good job. In my case, I have a great one.

2. Technology. In the strange life we’ve chosen it is often technology that keeps us connected and up to date.

3. Sure knowledge. I don’t think that I could do half the things that I have to for work and my family without a confidence that I am a child of God and He knows and loves me.

Family

1. New additions. We’re expecting a new baby in June.

2. New challenges. Tomorrow, we are accepting an assignment to Nairobi, Kenya.

3. Friends. We have wonderful old friends and new friends that love us and let us share part of their lives with them.
