When we were in Boston I called AJP and BLP to see how things were going. (Basically I wanted to make sure they weren’t driving their grandparents crazy.) I spoke with AJP and he told me that he was watching the NBA All-Star Game. Since it was Friday night, I knew it was the celebrity game, but I let that go since he wasn’t going to see the actual game. Turns out I should have explained and told him to turn off the TV.
When we finally spoke on Sunday I had to deal with a completely disgusted 8 year old. He could not believe that Justin Bieber was the MVP of the game. He was really mad about this. After saying that it was obvious that Scottie Pippen should have been the MVP he said, “The only reason they even let Justin Bieber play is because all the girls have crushes on him!” It turns out that AJP is not a Belieber. In fact, he can’t stand the kid.
