Terrific news plus two great Saturdays.

First, I have to start off with a shout out to Red Sox Nation. How great is this! AJP would wake up every morning after a game and before doing anything else ask the score of the game from the night before. He also relished in watching SportsCenter every morning to see the highlights.

Now that I have completed a very important part of this entry, I will continue on with some of our family’s current events. We have had some great times these past two Saturdays. We spent one with old friends and the other with JTP’s parents.

Two weeks ago we went to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains with some friends we met in Boston. It was great to see the E family again. They are such great people. Every time, I talk with them I learn something new and receive some incredible insights. They are some of the most generous, creative and intelligent people I have met. (And I’m not just saying this because one of them gets our posts via email.) We had a great time talking on the ride up there and then taking a gentle hike. This is the first time I have seen the Blue Ridge Mountains. The scenery was incredible and the company was great! The photo below is of AJP, BLP and E3.

The next Saturday, JTP’s parents came up to see AJP’s primary program on Sunday. They arrived late on Friday so the kids did not see them until Saturday morning. The kids could not wait to see their Grandparents. They were very excited. BLP was especially thrilled since Grandma Mose brought her a princess/ballet costume complete with a tiara and shoes. AJP loves to take the train and go on activities with our visitors. We decided that we would take the morning to visit the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery. AJP is crazy about the Presidents of the United States and there is an exhibit of their pictures. His favorite was William Howard Taft because he was so fat. Both AJP and BLP were great and enjoyed the day with their Grandparents.
