Service Project

Today I celebrated the Fourth of July with about 15 men from church tearing down a house. A family in our ward is in need of a new place, and the first step was to get rid of the old one. The old house was about 15 by 20 feet and made of cheap particle board. It had two bedrooms, a small sitting area and a kitchen. The kitchen was just a small room with a sink on two brick columns in it. There was no bathroom. The whole tear down took about an hour.

The new house will be made of brick and will include a bathroom. It will be built on the same foundation, but will be a huge improvement. I was grateful to be able to help out this wonderful family. Hopefully their new house is a step in the right direction.
