These past few weeks we have been showing Bogotá to Flat Stanley. AJP’s cousin’s kindergarten class sent out Flat Stanley to different parts of the world. That was one of the reasons we went to Monserrate during Semana Santa. We have had a lot of fun thinking about what we can show Flat Stanley. We took Flat Stanley on a llama ride. He also took an impromptu tour of the Candelaria neighborhood, the old or colonial part of Bogotá. We had Flat Stanley meet some of the street vendors around our neighborhood. We bought flowers, avocados and candies on the street with Flat Stanley. He visited AJP’s school and saw the hormiguera (ant hill) that they made while studying ants (hormigas). Flat Stanley tried guava (guayaba) and helped AJP build a fort in our living room. We are hoping Flat Stanley will go back to Wyoming with some wonderful stories of Bogotá.
