Amazing BLP

The other day I had a very interesting experience with BLP. I was talking with JTP on the phone and BLP wanted a glass of water. She said something like, “I want water” in a way only a parent of a two year old would understand. I was in our study and could not get to the kitchen to get the water. Therefore, I asked BLP to go and ask our maid, who was in the kitchen, for the water. BLP had not stepped more than five feet from me when she started saying, “Agua” instead of water. BLP is not even two years old yet and she has already figured out that I speak English and our maid speaks Spanish. She also says, “Look” to me and “Mira” to our maid; “Yes” to me and “Sí” to our maid and so on. I was rather amazed by her innate insightfulness and flexibility.
