Our Family before BLP's baptism outside our church building.
BLP before her baptism with her Aunt S. and Cousin K.
BLP before her baptism with her Uncle M.
BLP with her Dad, who performed the baptism.
(This is the best picture of the two of them but the flash nullified putting it in front of Christ's picture!)
1. That BLP chose to be baptized. This is an important step for her. At eight years old, we believe that children
reach the age of accountability. This
means that they are old enough and mature enough to understand baptism and be
accountable for their choices. We
discussed it with BLP and she felt like she was ready. I am super proud of her decision and what a
wonderful girl she is.
2. That my sister,
her son and JTP’s brother were able to be here for BLP’s baptism. With family so far away, it was nice to be
able to schedule it when we could have representatives from each of our
families.
3. The great summer
(or winter here in Kenya) that we have had.
We were able to go to Disney World, see my sister’s wedding, go to the
Masai Mara, and relax at home some as well.
All of it came to an end today when the big kids started school. I am also looking forward to a great school
year and am equally grateful for the order that school brings to our lives.
