June’s book of the month is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon. I loved this book. Written from the perspective of Christopher, an autistic 15 year old, the book starts as a mystery about the murder of a dog named Wellington, and becomes a story of love, acceptance and triumph. Haddon, who is experienced in working with people with autism, does a great job not turning Christopher in to a charity case or a caricature. I would buy this book.
