Little League

This spring (fall here) AJP joined little league. It’s a non-competitive (i.e. no set teams) league where they offer soccer and baseball. He loved it. Because we got here after the season started, AJP could only play a few weeks, but each week he liked it more and more. The night before the last week he said, “Dad, you have to make sure I get up on time tomorrow.  I don’t want to miss little league.”  He played both soccer and baseball.

The big highlight last week was that after weeks of having to hit from a tee, AJP made contact with a pitch. “Hit” would be a strong word here. He reached first on a catcher’s error and ended up scoring a run.

We’re especially grateful to the wonderful coaches who helped out. AJP really learned to listen better and work as part of a team. We’re looking forward to continuing this tradition.
