Last Friday we had dinner with some friends from Bogotá. Their son, R, and AJP were in the same preschool and became fast friends. AJP still considers R his best friend. It was great to give the boys an opportunity to reconnect. We have been lucky to arrange visits about once a year since we both left Bogotá.
There were two amazing things about this visit. First, the two boys immediately fell into a great rhythm. It was almost like no time had passed – like they had seen each other just last Saturday. Second, as JTP and I talked with our friends about their son, we were all amazed at how similar the two boys are. They are indeed kindred spirits. We feel blessed that AJP can have a friend like that and that he comes from such a wonderful family.
