This Fast Sunday I am grateful for:
1. True friends. I have had a variety of experiences this past week that have made me realize the value of great friends. It is wonderful when people love you in spite of yourself. They love all your strengths and ignore (or put up with) your weaknesses.
2. Motherhood. One of the most amazing experiences of my life has been having children. AJP and BLP are such special gifts. AJP had a hard week and I spent some time Tuesday night with him crying on my shoulder. All I could do is hold him and tell him how much I love him. He is much better now but I count it as a privilege to be able to love and comfort him and BLP. I cherish the walks to school with AJP and picking up BLP from her school bus. What a great blessing.
3. My mother and mother-in-law. They are both amazing women of faith. I have learned so much from their examples. I cherish their influence in my life.
